All Eyes on Me

Iconic Australian animal!
Five Kangaroos standing and looking straight to the viewer. Those animals are naturally curious and it was my aspiration to capture their naivety and purity in this work!
I did not focus much on details, but I tried to capture the moment in time and their body language using effects of light on a limited color pallet. A conversation Piece!

I tried to be the most accurate as possible to the original with my photos , but please be aware that different monitors settings my change slightly the tones.

My name is Ana Nogueira, I am Portuguese (born in Mozambique). I arrived in Australian in 2016, and became a citizen in 2024.
I am self taught, and what I paint has been evolving and changing as I change! I paint with oils and recently exploring Gouache and oil pastels.
I look for balance and harmony in what I create and focus on the story I want to tell!
I love to be surrounded by things that mean something to me, that have a story behind.
Painting animals is very satisfying, I try to capture one moment in time of their lives. However I paint anything that grabs my attention really!
My perfect day is to be at home with my 2 cats (Mushroom & Valentina) , a cup of coffee and work on a painting, simply getting lost in time!
I love color; greens, blues, yellow and pink are my favorites colors ,and my ultimate wish is to convey a feeling of peace, naivety , happiness and good vibes with my work.
