Cat Sleeping

This is Cleo the cat, before being rescued by a friend. "She" used to hang around the car park of our working place. In time she started to come up for treats, food and cuddles and eventually after 6 months when she was having a better relationship with us (Humans), Kris took her home on Xmas Eve. Today she is a spoiled girl living her best life! I took this photo on a hot summer day while she was sleeping under some outdoor shelves.
I wished to capture her serenity sleeping near her new favorite humans, with no fear or hunger. And enjoying that beautiful hot Summer day.

I tried to be the most accurate as possible to the original with my photos , but please be aware that different monitors settings may change slightly the tones.

My name is Ana Nogueira, I am Portuguese (born in Mozambique). I arrived in Australian in 2016, and became a citizen in 2024.
I am self taught, and what I paint has been evolving and changing as I change! I paint with oils and recently exploring Gouache and oil pastels.
I look for balance and harmony in what I create and focus on the story I want to tell!
I love to be surrounded by things that mean something to me, that have a story behind.
Painting animals is very satisfying, I try to capture one moment in time of their lives. However I paint anything that grabs my attention really!
My perfect day is to be at home with my 2 cats (Mushroom & Valentina) , a cup of coffee and work on a painting, simply getting lost in time!
I love color; greens, blues, yellow and pink are my favorites colors ,and my ultimate wish is to convey a feeling of peace, naivety , happiness and good vibes with my work.
