Artwork Description

LITTLE GEM is an ethereal collection, born from an intricate interplay of tactile exploration, and reverence for the natural works. The abstract compositions find their genesis in the whispers of the nature itself.
Each canvas in this series incorporates nature's subtle nuances. It's the the dance of sunlight filtering through canopies, the tactile texture of bark against fingertips, and the elusive shadows cast by windswept branches. These elements were translated onto the canvas, capturing the vivid interplay of textures and hues.
This series invites us to peer beyond the surface and embrace the unseen marvels of natural world. It's an ode to the present moment, an exploration of the depths within nature's embrace, and an echo of the harmonious cadence that resonates through the organic tapestry of our environment, showcasing its resilience and the cascading beauty it unfurls.

Artist Bio

Anastasia is a self taught intuitive abstract artist based in Australia.
She's displayed a strong artistic intuition since early childhood, first being drawn to portrait sketching, then photography, digital illustrations, resin art, performative aerial acrobatics and now finding her love in abstract painting.
She utilises music and free flowing body motions to direct her work compositionally, balancing playful fluidity and intentional mark-making on raw canvas. Having spent most of her life on a small Greek island, she's drawn to earthy-toned pigments and neutral hues found in the coastal landscape. Endlessly moved by the natural beauty that surrounds us, she is especially drawn to minimalistic expressions, sensitively creating harmonious arrangements with an understated minimal aesthetic.
Anastasia hopes to bring tranquility and depth through her work to invite ease and contemplation.
