Water Dance

This alcohol inks piece is inspired by WA beach vibes, transparent water, golden sands and sunlight. Dynamic structure of this work does not let your eyes get settled. This work makes me want to stay active - run, surf and play, the life at its fullest. I'd like to think that I have captured the spirit of water that never stops.

The work is framed by the artist in a thin lightly tranished brass frame that compliments the colours of the work.

Anastasia is a contemporary watercolour artist from Perth, WA. Her work draws inspiration from the Australian landscape and coastal environments, often reflecting themes of connection between people and nature, inviting symbolic and introspective interpretation, exploring emotional depth and personal connection through natural forms.
Although Anastasia developed her artistic practice independently, her background in linguistics and graphic design informs her visual storytelling and compositional approach. She works across figurative, landscape and abstraction, and often experiments with dry pigments and fluid techniques and other media.
Anastasia is a member of the Watercolour Society of Western Australia since 2020. Her work has been exhibited in numerous group exhibitions and art awards.
She welcomes commissions and enjoys creating bespoke pieces that explore natural forms, and atmospheric landscapes.
