During a stroll, in Breenhold Gardens in NSW I was inspired to paint a fountain adorned with delicate water lilies gently floating on its surface. The warm tones of gold, blue and deep greens, in my watercolor capture the beauty of the garden during autumn.
I carefully applied brushstrokes that mirror Monets depictions of water lilies aiming to convey a feeling of calmness and natural balance. Immersed in the life story of this artist as I worked on this piece I hoped to evoke a sense of tranquility and artistic inspiration.
Through my artwork I intend to not showcase the charm of the gardens but also express the emotional depth found in natures peacefulness and the creative influence gained from studying a legendary painter from history.
