Artwork Description

The simplest composition in the collection, Duality explores balance between opposing forces.

Light and darkness.
Stillness and movement.
Strength and vulnerability.

The open centre is intentionally left untouched, symbolising the space where transformation occurs. The painting invites viewers to consider that growth often happens between opposing experiences rather than within certainty.

Artist Bio

Anderson Verissimo

Contemporary Abstract Artist

For Me, painting is not about recreating the world.

It is about reconstructing experience.

Every canvas begins without a fixed destination. Instead, each work evolves through layers of acrylic paint, heavy texture, palette knives, broad architectural brushes and deliberate imperfections that become part of the final composition. Every mark represents a decision. Every layer represents a moment that cannot be erased, only built upon.

My paintings explore the relationship between order and chaos.

Clean geometric divisions coexist with expressive brushstrokes. Structured vertical lines intersect spontaneous movement. Bold colours emerge from quiet backgrounds, reflecting the reality that clarity often exists alongside uncertainty.

Rather than telling the viewer what to see, I creates visual spaces that encourage personal interpretation. Each painting becomes a conversation between the artwork and the individual standing before it.

Colour plays an essential role throughout his collection.

Strong blacks create stability.

Whites provide space for reflection.

Bright yellows represent possibility.

Deep blues speak to resilience.

Reds embody courage, energy and conviction.

Every colour is chosen not simply for contrast but for emotional balance.

Working primarily with professional acrylic paints on canvas, I build texture using multiple applications of paint, allowing the physical surface to become as important as the composition itself. The visible layers remind us that nothing meaningful is created in a single stroke.

My work is influenced less by artistic trends and more by the architecture of human decision making how people rebuild, adapt and find structure after periods of uncertainty.

Across the collection, recurring themes emerge:

* Resilience through reconstruction
* Balance between discipline and freedom
* Simplicity within complexity
* Movement through stillness
* Hope emerging from imperfection

For Me, every painting represents a chapter rather than a conclusion.

The artwork is never simply about colour or composition.

It is about the human capacity to continue building.

To rebuild.

Again and again.
