This painting is about devotion. Newest member of the family requires a constant food supply for the best chance of survival. In my painting mum is looking a little worse for ware, a daily feeding routine takes it toll. The youngster on the other hand is looking well fed and cared for. New plumage is beginning to develop. The lower dark beak will turn light ocher as the youngster develops and will become an active member of the family group.
