Alpine Passes

“Alpine Passes” is inspired by travelling through the Australian Alps in summer, breathing in crisp mountain air, driving along winding roads, through deep road cuts and across the saddles and passes as you head up into the high country. The cross sectional reveals of the landscape showing the scrappy falling bark and trees, and the tall straight tree trunks of the Eucalypts, Snowgums and views to the Razorback of Mt. Feathertop.

My name is Andrea Hamann. I am an artist based in the Southern Highlands of NSW. I relocated to the highlands after spending the last 15 years in Tropical places. I work mainly in Acrylic on Canvas or board, but also in Mixed Media on Paper, and more recently monoprints . My subject matter varies, however is generally inspired by the natural world around me.
