Highland Mist

In the Southern Highlands in the early mornings, the mist hangs heavy on the landscape, slowly and spectacularly peeling back to reveal the trees and dams, the hills and the valleys as the sun come up. This piece is inspired by views seen on early morning drives as the mist rolls through.

My name is Andrea Hamann. I am an artist based in the Southern Highlands of NSW. I relocated to the highlands after spending the last 15 years in Tropical places. I work mainly in Acrylic on Canvas or board, but also in Mixed Media on Paper, and more recently monoprints . My subject matter varies, however is generally inspired by the natural world around me.
