Rockface

Rockface is a high impact, abstract painting loosely based on striations across the face of rock formations. Featuring acrylic paint and inks overlaid on a lightly sculpted wooden substrate, Rockface forms a part of my 'Lineas' series of paintings. Rockface can be paired with 'Rockface 2', but it is an ideal stand-alone piece in its own right. This is quite a visually intense painting as intended and the style is rough, harsh and high impact, reflecting the nature of rock, but there is subtlety here as well, conveyed by the softer inks and multi- layered colour bleed throughs. The painting is ready to hang as is in either vertical or horizontal format and does not require a frame. It will compliment a modern decor home or office environment in a medium to large room with good natural light and direct artificial light.
