Silence

Starting with a blank page and open mind, following the signs as I went along. Trusting in the process and allowing the picture to develop and evolve.
It seems like something to me, but I would rather you see it your way - uninfluenced by me. So the meaning is yours, not mine.

This is an Oil Pastel piece, on Strathmore 300 series paper. No fixative has been used. It is suggested(strongly) that it be framed behind matting, then glass.

Follow

To me art is a friend, a refuge, an escape and therapy. It takes me away from this world, removes me from time. Allows me to be present and focused.
My art is colourful, perhaps strange, otherworldly, but with an organic feel.
I like to remove myself from the creating, become a follower rather than a leader - set off without a clear destination, following the process, following the signs along the way. Getting out of my own way and enjoy the serendipity. It's always an adventure. Always immersing. Often rewarding in the end product in addition to the process.
