Artist Bio

Giorgi Dimovski, an Australian man with a Macedonian origin, found himself in Poland as a two year old refugee. Along with other children from Macedonian and Greek communists, he lived in Poland for the first 25 years of his life holding a passport of a “stateless person”. He finished secondary art school and this is where his exceptional talent became apparent, during classes in sculpture, drawing and painting. He continued his studies at the Academy of Art and at the Language Studies in Sofia (Bulgaria). In the meantime, he travelled extensively until he decided to permanently settle down in Melbourne, Australia.
Fascinated by the landscape he created a series of paintings entitled “Australia Bush”. Soon enough his imagination took him skyward, inspiring the intricate, exquisite and deep, if at times dark series entitled “Cosmos”, which undoubtedly makes an impression upon the viewer. All throughout has kept on painting beautiful female nudes, portraits and various countless drawings. He has also been awarded a few prestigious awards.
His true mastery lies in the portraits of children, in my opinion, in this category he can hold his own along with history’s greatest.
