Inspired from partially revealed fading and decayed signage on a wall in Melbourne Australia. 

This painting is painted over 9 - 20cm x 20 cm plywood tiles attached to an off white 80cm x 80cm plywood frame.

Mysterious, yet intimate, this piece's focus is on the letter 'R' which is dissected in its linear design and floats in a space due to the subtle change of the bi-layer colour tones.

The alluring quality of this painting is the sharp lines painted beautifully and with a sign writers accuracy and also the relationship of the varied tones of colour of each tile, painted in a way to enhance the paintings depth of field and dimension.

The image and lines wrap around all edges and the painting is finished brilliantly in gloss acrylic.
