Since I could hold a pen I have loved to draw. I was inspired from winning art competitions as a child but didn't really take my art seriously until I completed my Diploma in Visual Art in 2011. Since then I have exhibited in various galleries in group exhibitions and solo exhibitions in Melbourne and the Gippsland areas. I have also exhibited in art shows and was a curator for the Immerse Exhibitions held annually in the City of Knox which showcases 30 emerging artists. Now I specialise in painting portraits. I mainly paint with acrylic but like to mix it up a bit and also use oils and pastels. I love to use generous amounts of paint and leave drips and incidentals to create an interesting texture and have a very limited palette of up to five colours, preferring to use earthy colours or even monotone.
Recently I have moved to Rainbow and have formed a passion for the landscape here. It is a dry and hot area, and the skies seem to be endless. So standby for some landscapes in the coming months.
