Angela Stevanov is a Brisbane-based still life oil painter whose work focuses on quiet, everyday moments, familiar objects, and the nuanced transitions of light and shadow. She works from life in her home studio, favouring traditional oil techniques, warm tones and simple, honest compositions.
Her paintings are created on wood panels and paired with frames she builds herself. Angela often chooses timber with natural imperfections, subtle knots, grain shifts, and small marks to contrast with the calm, minimal style of her paintings. Each piece is intentionally crafted to feel warm, tactile and lived-in.
With more than twenty years of experience in the creative industries, Angela brings a refined eye and strong attention to detail to her practice, while keeping her approach grounded and unfussy. She aims to capture the beauty in ordinary things and create art that feels authentic, personal and quietly atmospheric.
