Artwork Description

Dancing with the farm environment is a series of works that consider feminine aspects of ornamentation and domesticity in agriculture. Interesting conversation piece that is colourful and will brighten any room.

Artist Bio

Hi I am an artist living in rural Australia who loves to tell stories in my artworks. Stories that define us and our links to the environment. Stories that are fun, quirky and thought or conversation provoking. After growing up in South Australia I now live on a farm in north western Victoria.
My passion for art led me to complete formal studies through Curtin University where I obtained a degree in Fine Arts & Visual Culture. The artwork style I have covers realism, surrealism, impressionism and abstract, mostly using oils on linen. I love colours, people and places using them to capture stories and emotions that are often unexpected. My art is informed by my local surroundings, my love of dancing and how we are linked to the land we live in. I love the Australian landscape, the way dance movement can mimic nature and the visual language that expresses these combinations.
My artworks are unique one of a kind pieces and not replicated in print because I want my paintings to go to people who are after something that no one else has and who appreciate fine art. “
Artworks are held in private collections nationally and internationally.
Artists that inspire Angela include Leonardo da Vinci, Dorothea Tanning and Salvador Dali to name a few.
