Meet You There

"Here We Come" is a stunning large artwork showcasing "The Basin" one of Rottnest Island’s most renowned beaches.

Three majestic sailing boats glide gracefully across the water, its billowing sails capturing the gentle breeze. The textural contrast of the coastline, with the enclosed rocky bay depicted by multiple layers of paint, sand and impasto.

The many shades of blues, teals and aqua tonalities, allows the viewer to immerse themselves into the deep depicted water.

Various techniques, from impasto to glazing, lend a dynamic energy to the composition, evoking the ever-changing nature of the sea.

As the viewer gazes upon this evocative artwork, they can almost feel the salty breeze on their skin and hear the gentle lapping of the waves against the boat’s hull. She absolutely loves abstract art and is very drawn to it as she finds it a challenge and very rewarding,
Coming up with a conceptual thought - idea and expressing it with a contemporary abstract medium as well as a series of different subjects as a theme is also rewarding, for the expression to evolve further.

Angelica has a Bachelors in Art and Design, a Diploma in Graphic Design (won all 3 awards at completion) as well as a Fine Art Foundation Certificate.
