Artwork Description

“Sir Marlin” is inspired by the beautiful ocean in tropical North Queensland and our amazing sea creatures.

This is my tropical take on this magnificent creature, with pops of colour, pattern, botanicals and a gold foil halo symbolising it’s beauty.

A bit boho, contemporary & abstract.

Artist Bio

Australian artist, Angelika Pacek has lived most of her life in Tropical Far North QLD surrounded by Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef .

Always unsettled in jobs and looking for an adventure, she went on to work for 6 years on a Prawn Trawler in the Gulf of Carpentaria.
After fishing, she signed up for a certificate III in Visual Arts at TAFE. All through school she adored art and loved every form it came in so TAFE was great for getting her creative juices running again.

From that moment on her love for acrylic painting grew, focusing on abstract, landscape and figurative.

Angelika's art is inspired by sea creatures, the ocean, women’s figurative forms, nature and botanicals that is mixed with patterns and tribal marks.
