Bark Piles at the Foot of a Tree

A pile of bark collecting at the foot of twin tree trunks in our Sydney blue gum plantation. The palette is bold and violent. Using primary blues and reds rendering the tree and the bark in its mess. The way these bark piles form is quite picturesque, there is a lot of energy in the scene despite it being quite silent amidst the trees where I painted it. Movement that is not movement at all... worthy of a painting I say.
