Wish Two

Take me back to when I was a child, when all wishes and dreams were possible. Especially encountering a Dandelion (taraxacum), known as blowball with its white fluffy seeds scattered in the air. This was one of my favorite moments in my childhood: making a wish and waiting for my dream to manifest. Those were precious times, full of hope and the discovery of what I really wanted in life.

Many people believe that dandelion seeds will carry your thoughts and dreams to loved ones when you blow them into the air. Others believe that dandelions can tell you if you’re loved. The legend says that if you can blow all the seeds off a dandelion with a single breath, then the person you love will love you back. Sometimes, I still make a wish using a blowball, and this takes me back to my childhood, where anything was possible.

Ani Ipradjian, a Melbourne-based artist, is known for her unique asymmetrical abstract style inspired by nature and cityscapes. With a Diploma in Art and Design, Graphic Design, and Photography, Ani combines acrylic painting with mixed media. She predominantly uses soft pinks, calming blues, and warm mustards. Ani's Art overall can be best described as unique. She likes to think that her art represents her past present and future.
In her early 20s Ani did some travelling around Australia which only enhanced her love of nature and the wonderful colours of Australia. Inspired by the enthralling landscapes of nature and city themes.
Best known for her asymmetrical style, Ani creates luscious textures, shapes and colour combinations that encapsulate Australia’s native flora, suburbs and outback landscapes.
She describes her pieces as a true representation of her past, present and future.

Having studied a Diploma of Art and Design, Graphic Design and Photography, her artwork feature’s a combination of acrylic painting and mixed media. Working predominately with soft pinks, calming blues and a warming mustard’s, Ani Ipradjian Art will liven up any room.

The main mediums she works with is Acrylic and mixed media with the luscious textures, shapes and colour combinations that all come together.

Ani hopes for her future is to extending her collection of original paintings and prints which come from a great knowledge of mediums, shapes and compositions. The Asymmetrical influence is highly represented thought her work and is organically balanced.

Her inspiration comes from Orphanism derived from Cubism this movement was born in 1912. Two artists that do influence Ani are Robert and Sonia Delaunay their simultaneous design principles and colour is very appealing.
​Two other artists are Wassily Kandinsky and Victor Vasarely both these artists use abstract squares and concentric circles which have played a major influence behind her art.
