The inspiration behind this piece is the contrast between human consciousness and nature's consciousness. This sculpture resembles a deserted planet with its miniature craters and small crystals scattered around. As you explore it, the sculpture will take you on a journey, guiding you to delve deep into your subconscious. Hopefully, it will inspire you to make small, positive changes that benefit both humanity and Mother Earth.

Artist Bio
Anica Gikovska is an Australian artist with a Macedonian background. She lives and works in Naarm/Melbourne with a practice based in edible art and contemporary visual art encompassing mixed-media textured wall art and sculptures that combine natural and man-made materials. For Anica, creating art is an essential aspect of her being in which she doesn’t limit herself with the materials she uses.
Her work has a strong connection with nature, which informs both the material and conceptual stories behind each sculpture. Her practice also draws inspiration from a space somewhere between her subconscious and super conscious mind;
“Usually I would get some glimpses during, or straight after meditation when I’m most relaxed and content and in a state of pure joy… Sometimes I reach that place when I start creating. I get lost in the process and just go with the flow, let my subconscious mind guide me. Most of the time I don’t know how the final product will look like and that’s the beauty of it. I love to experiment and push boundaries both with materials and concepts.”
