I have always been drawn to the image of a simple flower that holds so many deep secrets and feelings for the beholder. Each flower has its own essence and soul that it shares with the person viewing its beauty. To each of us a flower speaks in its own secret language, The Secret Language of Flowers has another worldly meaning to each and every one of us. With Blue Illusion I have attempted to convey this mystery, this illusion that speaks out to us from the mists of ancient times. Taking us back to the beauty of courtly China and the exotic Blue of the flowers has the ability to stir the sensual feminine desires of the Divine Feminine within us all.
I was apprenticed in the original style of a Oil Artist and Apprenticed from the age of 16. To my Father Greg Turner a prominent Landscape Artist in the 1970s and 1980s and early 1990s. Learning also from the Great Artists Reg Cambell Doug Sealy Robert Wilson Doris Kaminski Elaine Mortimer Eris Fleming Casey Sealy I have painted from the age of 3 years old. I have had many one man exhibitions and have been collected by individuals who remain in the private sector and buy my work thru commissions. I was commissioned by The Orange City Council to paint a tourist landscape of Mount Canobolas for the Orange City Council Tourism Board, now known as Orange 360. I have taught and painted professionally for 36 years. Ravenswood is the first competition that I have entered . With 5 more of my paintings recently being entered in the Womens Biennale Of Art in London 2025. Currently I have 5 works of art exhibiting in New York. My work has developed into many styles over the years with it now feeling abundantly free and expressive of the subject matter and my inner world. My work medium is mainly soft pastel, but I also work with acrylic. Flowers are my passion and to me each flower has its own secret poetry for the viewer to understand.
