Description
A contemporary Australian coastal painting capturing the warmth, movement and vibrant energy of Sydney’s iconic Bondi beach. It is a small acrylic seascape featuring colourful beachfront buildings and blue ocean waves rolling onto yellow sand beneath a glowing orange sun suspended in a musk pink sky.

This artwork adds an instant pop of colour to any space in your home or workplace (e.g. office, foyer, reception area, boardroom, waiting room, green room). In addition, the government’s instant asset write-off tax incentive means the purchase of any artwork under $20,000 for a business is immediately tax deductible in full. For further details, consult your business accountant or tax advisor.

It also makes a unique gift for a special person on any occasion.

Influence
In eastern Australia, Bondi beach existed as a sandy wilderness until it became an official public beach in 1882. Accessibility was facilitated in 1884 with a tramway operating from Sydney city to Bondi. The tramway was extended to Bondi beach in 1894, and replaced with bus routes in 1960. The history of beach benefits began with 18th century European medicine, where doctors prescribed activities such as bathing in sea water and breathing sea air to provide relief from various ailments. Evolving science supported some historical ideas about the health benefits of spending time at the beach. Consequently, easy access to such health benefits fuelled the urban development of Bondi beach. Today, the natural shoreline of Bondi beach has been transformed into popular coastal recreation and lifestyle destinations comprising human-modified landscapes which incorporate roads, pavements, commercial sites, residential homes and tourist accommodation.
