Abstract Mountain Painting - The Summit at Midnight

"The Summit at Midnight" is a colourful, geometric, mountain nightscape painting. It is painted with matisse flow acrylic paints on thick cotton canvas and triple varnished. The moutain peaks are painted in clean, crisp and hard egde shapes, with a tapestry base of rainbow-coloured geometric carpet. "The Summit at Midnight" is a fantasical piece inspired by my travels to the swiss alps, where the wonder of the tall mountain peaks is so enchanting they call you back to explore them time and time again. The backdrop is the brilliant black night sky, which invites you to keep travelling and exploring the wonders the world offers.

This piece is triple gloss varnished for a luxurious finish.
