The Art Critic series including this one are a meld of abstract, pop art and realism. This is a very colourful, bright and happy work despite the bassett hound's dour expression. Like it's partner "Art Critic 3" the work is almost entirely acrylic with a small amount of gilt applied randomly to the background. The work is varnished to a low gloss.
