Artwork Description

Growing up in Brisbane, Queensland my Mum used to take us in the school holidays to the botanical gardens. These trees were probably there then, over 60 years ago, and still growing strong.

I am a Brisbane girl, a true blue Australian. After venturing to the good old USA in 1970 I returned to my roots after 46 years and a wonderful career, and started painting. Painting the Australian landscapes and seascapes is a passion I love to share. I am a self taught artist, using acrylics and oils on canvas. Collections in Japan, USA, and many other Australian locations, embrace my works. Annually my works are on display and for sale at the Brisbane Ekka. This will be my first year, 2022, as a finalist in the Darcy Doyle Art Exhibition, which I feel quite privileged to be included in. Awarded the People's Choice Award at the U3A Art Exhibition in 2019. Enjoy💙
