Artwork Description

Have you ever been to Uluru.....this is a true depiction.....and it was cold. I did love the experience and winter is the best time to go....no flies :)
Uluru, or Ayers Rock, is a massive sandstone monolith in the heart of the Northern Territory’s Red Centre desert, 450km from the nearest large town, Alice Springs. It’s sacred to indigenous Australians and believed to be about 700 million years old. It’s within Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, which also encompasses the 36 red-rock domes of the Kata Tjuta (colloquially “The Olgas”) formation.

Artist Bio

I am a Brisbane girl, a true blue Australian. After venturing to the good old USA in 1970 I returned to my roots after 46 years and a wonderful career, and started painting. Painting the Australian landscapes and seascapes is a passion I love to share. I am a self taught artist, using acrylics and oils on canvas. Collections in Japan, USA, and many other Australian locations, embrace my works. Annually my works are on display and for sale at the Brisbane Ekka. This will be my first year, 2022, as a finalist in the Darcy Doyle Art Exhibition, which I feel quite privileged to be included in. Awarded the People's Choice Award at the U3A Art Exhibition in 2019. Enjoyđź’™
