Limeburners

This work was conceived after wandering the coastal pools at Limeburners beach on the Bellarine Pennisula in Victoria, where I was struck by the pink/red colours of the coastal weeds. It was also inspired by a wonderful exhibition of Joan Mitchell, abstract expressionist, in Paris in 2022.

McGinley is a Melbourne based artist painting on Wurundjeri land. She paints semi-abstract botanicals, portraits and landscapes. She has exhibited in Melbourne, France and Japan. Her latest exhibition was at Ladder Art Space in Kew in 2023.
