Ask any local and they’ll tell you Brisbane is just a big country town. And the longer I live here, the more I see why locals keep repeating this: we have an abundance of wild life & green open spaces, neighbours really do raise chooks, and country shows are a BIG deal.

This piece was inspired by a photo I took exploring a country garden out west of Ipswich. The sun was beyond bright & the roses were exquisitely pillowy, large & fragrant.
