Country Rose

Ask any local and they’ll tell you Brisbane is just a big country town. And the longer I live here, the more I see why locals keep repeating this: we have an abundance of wild life & green open spaces, neighbours really do raise chooks, and country shows are a BIG deal.

This piece was inspired by a photo I took exploring a country garden out west of Ipswich. The sun was beyond bright & the roses were exquisitely pillowy, large & fragrant.

I paint vividly bright paintings with intricate details that sing. Art has long been a part of my life. Growing up, I won several school and regional competitions. I earned my BA from Wellesley and volunteered as an art teacher to primary school students both at uni and with the New York Junior League.

In 2021, I transitioned to painting full time following a global career in marketing and advertising advising brands and companies on logo creation, tv commercial production, advertising campaigns, web sites and new product launches.

I paint with premium acrylic and oil paints on high quality canvases. All of my works are created by me in Brisbane or on the Sunshine Coast.
