The Pole Dancer

Watching a display of Pole dancers I was inspired by the beauty of their movements and the grace transitioning from one pose to another belying the inner strength necessary to achieve this. Femininity and strength on display. Incredibly inspiring.

I'm a Melbourne based Sculptor of Irish Descent. I presumed I wasn't artistic because whenever I tried to draw, the idea in my head never translated onto the paper!Then I took my very talented artist mother to Florence to study art for a month in 2011. While there I enrolled in a sculpture course to keep me occupied and discovered a passion I never knew existed. I absolutely love figurative sculpture and having covered the classic style over a period of years I have naturally transitioned into a more abstract style.
I'm currently an artist in residence at Bayside Scupture Gallery.
