About 10 years ago, I visited rainbow bay and snapper rocks. It was a beautiful sunny day with so much light everywhere. The water was also picture postcard blue, as was the sky.
As is so often the case, at this amazing beach.
When I first seen lifeguard tower 1, I felt a sense of happiness and security.
It is also interesting to note, there are 45 of these lifeguard watchtowers on the Gold Coast and the last one, 40 kilometres north, is located at “the spit.”
Mostly people tell me, when they see my painting of rainbow beach and tower 1, a sense of well- being, warmth, nostalgia and joy, comes over them.
This painting was done on cotton canvas, and I used acrylic paints.
