In art, I value most of all what expands the horizon of my soul, allows me to discover something new
in myself and to create something new, be it an idea, a project, a picture or a book.
I am fascinated by the diversity and infinity of beauty. I don't know of a better description for this state
than the poetry of William Blake.
To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.
Having passed through the consciousness of the artist, saturated with emotions, meanings, ideas and allusions,
this whole multifaceted world spills out onto the plane of canvas, paper or wall and it ceases to be a plane.
Paintings, like open doors, allow us to get out of the walls around us and plunge into another dimension,
other emotions and thoughts. Amazing freedom from the ordinary!
This moment of contemplation is priceless time spent with yourself.
And if my paintings give you joy, relaxation or inspiration, I am glad that they have become part of all this.
Anna was born in St. Petersburg, sister city of Melbourne. From childhood, Anna was fond of drawing and
attended an art studio before school. Then she studied at the famous Art School named after G.N. Antonov,
which has a magnificent watercolor tradition.
Deciding to continue professionally engaged in creativity, she entered the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts
(called the I.E. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture), and received a master's degree in architecture.
Deep knowledge in the field of art, understanding of various styles in painting and architecture, a wide palette
of various graphic and painting techniques - this is only part of what her academic education gave her.
Continuing her professional career, Anna was engaged in architectural design and interior design, participating
in art exhibitions at the same time.
Developing interior design, she began to paint interior pictures to order for her clients. And now her works
are in private collections in St. Petersburg, Moscow, New York and San Francisco. Throughout her career, Anna has
participated in various exhibitions and has received awards in architectural and interior design, as well as for her artistic work.
Although watercolor was and still is her favorite technique, her interest of conceptual art often inspires her
to experiment with abstract painting and different materials.
Behind the variety of artistic techniques is a constant search for the most suitable forms of self-expression.
Having moved to Australia at the end of 2022, Anna brought with her a special style of painting, a wealth
of experience working with interiors, and a fresh and admiring look at the unique nature of Australia.
