'My Fish' was painted by Anna during her King Island residency. Her piece aims to evoke a sense of longing and awe to be somewhere else. the depiction of a fish was a common motif in her King Island series. Anna feels an emotional attachment to the imagery of seafood and what it means to the island. Lobsters and other seafood make appearances as a way of showing her connection to the Island. Seafood is also a way of showing disgust or discomfort as she portrays them as slippery and dead.
