Soul Dreaming

Soul Dreaming is a soft flowy ethereal painting that seems to pick up the light differently in each photo depending where it is photographed from. As you can see the larger photo seems more blue and the close ups not so much.

I wanted to keep this painting soft and subtle with its colours. This painting reminds me of the softness of how our soul speaks, it is not loud and pushy like the ego but communicates in the quite, still moments if we allow ourselves to listen and be guided.

This painting would be perfect for a bedroom or lounge area or even a kids bedroom.

Ideal for a work space like a front waiting area or a yoga studio too.

I am an artist based in Melbourne, Australia.

I am passionate about creating bright and colourful works of art. My style is abstract and intuitive.

I love using a range of mixed media supplies included papers, inks, stamps, stencils, acrylics, oil pastels and whatever else I can get my hands on.

My creative process is very intuitive, as I am drawn to colours and paint strokes without too much planning. I allow the painting to flow as much as it can without overthinking each step. I do this until I am satisified with how the painting looks and whether it feels like a finished piece in my eyes..

Over the couple of years I have loved delving into the world of abstract florals and they have proved to be popular and well loved.

I am mostly self taught, however I love to dabble in online art workshops and courses and where possible in person as I love learning new and fresh ideas so I am constantly evolving

Over the last few years I have entered a couple of art exhibitions which has been a great learning curve and certainly a step out of my comfort zone , but so worthwhile.

I currently have a studio space in Kew Melbourne above a florist. I have loved having a separate place to work and be inspired and some of my pieces are for sale in the Florist. I also teach art workshops from this space which has been an enriching learning curve. It has been wonderful to collaborate with the florist downstairs and art and creativity is such a solo pursuit and it has been great to create community from this space.
