I am a Sydney-based artist and as a former children’s book illustrator, I have experimented with various mediums, from watercolours to pastels. Still, within the last few years, I’ve fallen in love with photography and digital techniques.
My love of nature heavily influences my artwork. I’ve been a water baby my whole life, and still today, I search for inspiration by the sea. My digital fine art series entitled Rockpools explores colour, movement and the beauty found in erosional processes, focusing on coastal rocks that have evolved under the force of natural pressures. This series aims to capture the raw and untamed elegance in the weathered markings, turning them into something abstracted that only suggests the original photo, that is, rock pools by the ocean shot at some of my favourite beaches throughout Sydney and NSW.
