This still life is inspired by regular visits to my friends cattle station in the North of Western Australia. It is a stunning old homestead and recently she had a new kitchen built in which is an impressive concrete bench top. Its glossy surface would create lovely reflections such as in this still life.
This still life uses brighter, bolder colours then I would normally, but I really wanted to capture the reflections. I have used a textural background with a hint of blue, green and pink to add interest.
