Mount Bakewell in the Distance

Growing up in the Wheatbelt town of Quairading, we often passed through York on our way to Perth.
At a recent Farmstay in York, we were lucky enough to view Mt Bakewell in the distance whilst experiencing the magnificent sunsets.

I started painting with folkart in the nineties. I soon realised that I needed to expand my horizons and ventured into acrylics and mixed media. I try a wide variety of subjects from landscape‚ animals‚ birds and abstract. I love lots of colour as well as movement. I try not to make things "too lifelike" as I believe paintings should be more personal‚ sometimes quirky or surreal and have the artists personality evident. I just love to paint!
