Proteas for You

Flowers for you was inspired by my beautiful Mum. She always had a vase of fresh flowers in her home picked from her garden.
Really loved painting this one as it took me down memory lane

I started painting with folkart in the nineties. I soon realised that I needed to expand my horizons and ventured into acrylics and mixed media. I try a wide variety of subjects from landscape‚ animals‚ birds and abstract. I love lots of colour as well as movement. I try not to make things "too lifelike" as I believe paintings should be more personal‚ sometimes quirky or surreal and have the artists personality evident. I just love to paint!
