I was born in Queensland, grew up in Townsville but have lived most of my life in Victoria. For most of my life, drawing and painting have been my go to hobby. Since since retiring I have the luxury of being able to devote far more time to it. I am mostly a self-taught artist experimenting with various styles. My favourite medium has been oil, however, I am doing more work recently in acrylic. Subject matter includes florals, abstract and faces. My inspiration comes from Picasso, Gaugin and modern abstract impressionism. However, I also draw inspiration from a selection of contemporary artists including Regina Noakes, Jai Vasicek and mural artists. My first exhibition was in 2015 in Ballarat. Since then I have sold on commission or through private sales. In 2021 I participated in the Daylesford Rotary Show and was delighted to be awarded a prize for best Still Life.
