Boardwalk Dawn - from the Boardwalk series.
Living in Australia, most of us love the beach, thus my joy in painting beautiful seascapes! I love the way my eye travels through this painting, meandering in the pre-dawn light, the calm before the day.
Boardwalk Dawn is a large, original, painting using beautiful shimmery Daniel Smith iridescent watercolours. This time I've used a 300gsm Fabriano watercolour paper (I love using a variety of paper that reflects the story of the subject) stretched over a wooden frame.
The painting's been framed professionally with a lovely wood, that reflects the intended beachy vibe. A huge 'thank you' to renowned photographer Steven Nowakowski for allowing me to use one of his beautiful images as inspiration :) Ready to hang.
