Inspired by a Turner style of painting, my abstract landscapes are pure emotive reflections. I do not paint many very often, but they are all based loosely on real places. These works are made with a very gestural and instinctive method, and aim to evoke the primitive mood of place, whilst still holding a sublime quality.
Based on the Isle of Skye in Scotland, it includes a small amount of metallic paint, offering different effects depending on where you view the work and how the light hits it.
Artwork is coated with a professional varnish to protect the surface. This work is unframed. An example of it in a float frame is suggested in the images.
