Artwork Description

This piece of art originated in the bustling streets of inner city Sydney, where I gathered the bold and eye-catching billboard signage. It represents a fusion of street culture and artistic expression, capturing the exhilarating feeling of a lively street celebration. Moreover, it embodies the belief in one's own inner strength and the importance of maintaining a positive, optimistic mindset. The artwork radiates the dynamic energy, delight, and vivacity of Sydney's vibrant nightlife scene.

This statement piece has so much detail and layering and will look fabulous in any room.

Artist Bio

Hello and welcome to my Bluethumb page. I am a full time artist and accomplished Creative Director, producer and Interior Stylist based in Sydney, Australia.

My training includes study at Sydney College of the Arts majoring in sculpture and finally continuing on to finish a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communications at the University of Technology.
Like many true creatives, I have always painted and drawn, and have chosen to expand my design practice to include creating mixed media art pieces.

Creating art is second nature to me and I love creating abstract pieces which explore nature, colour and freedom. My practice includes gritty, urban, painted street collages and also dynamic, bright abstract paintings. My work has been described as reflecting "great energy and expression", drawing inspiration from life, colour, music, travel, the natural Australian landscape and Sydney's urban cityscape.

I believe everyone should treat themselves and their family to at least one artwork per year, as it is good for everyones heart, soul and mental health. Art takes you on a journey, and the journey is yours alone, that's freedom.

Most days I can be found creating artworks from my Sydney studio and I am working towards my first solo exhibition.

I am always thrilled when someone chooses to live with one of my artworks and I am extremely grateful to be able to do what I love for a living. I hope you enjoy my artworks as much as I enjoy creating them. Surround yourself with as much beauty as you can.
