Flying Cats - yellow and Orange

The original flying ducks were made by Beswick in Stoke-on-Trent. They were designed by a freelance artist, Mr Watkin, and produced in five sizes between 1938 and the early 1970s
My version of the iconic flying ducks is to reimagine them as cheeky flying cats!
Created in earthenware clay and hand coloured, they are designed to soar across a wall.

I am an Art Teacher and love my job, inspiring kids to discover their inner artist. I have always created art - lots of styles and influences and now I finally have the confidence to present my own art for sale.
It is now my time to further explore my inner artist!
My work has evolved into a few different styles/genres. I have a range of animal studies and take commissions for pet portraits and I also have a range that centres upon an image that is very naive art style involving the fluidity of line to enhance the composition.
