Dancing Radishes

Radishes are a beautiful rich colour. This painting would look perfect in a kitchen, a dining area, a gallery wall. Or anywhere with the splash of this colour. The radishes have been painted in an impressionist style, with layers of oil paint to give depth.

It has been framed in an upcycled, vintage, mid century timber frame, painted in satin black.
I am passionate about vintage recycled frames, giving a retro, yet up to date modern feel to an artwork. The black gives a modern touch and looks wonderful on a white, grey or coloured wall. Looks great in different decorating styles.

I am an artist and painter, living and painting in a mid century timber weatherboard cottage with 70 year old gardens and trees, in the beautiful Blue Mountains of NSW. The Blue Mountains are listed as World Heritage and my surroundings give me so much inspiration for my art.

I love all things vintage, love of recycling, reusing and redoing.

Working more than 5 decades in a purchasing role for large companies, so now I can follow my love of painting art again.

Working with oil paint mostly, as I love the buttery thick texture it brings to an artwork. I use the pallet knife also in my work as the consistency of oil paint responds beautifully to this technique.
I love to paint many different types of artworks, including still life, landscape, naive, portraiture and impressionist abstract.

My paintings are always many layers of paint so it gives depth and texture to the artwork.
