Artwork Description

The ingredients to make pasta sauce. The glow of the dark green olive oil bottle and it's straight lines compliment the beautiful roundness and ripeness of the organic fruit and vegetables.

This painting would look lovely hanging in the kitchen or just on a shelf leaning on the wall.

The artwork has many layers of oil paint to create a depth and texture.
The frame is mid century, narrow and made of oak.

Artist Bio

I am an artist and painter, living and painting in a mid century timber weatherboard cottage with 70 year old gardens and trees, in the beautiful Blue Mountains of NSW. The Blue Mountains are listed as World Heritage and my surroundings give me so much inspiration for my art.

I love all things vintage, love of recycling, reusing and redoing.

Working more than 5 decades in a purchasing role for large companies, so now I can follow my love of painting art again.

Working with oil paint mostly, as I love the buttery thick texture it brings to an artwork. I use the pallet knife also in my work as the consistency of oil paint responds beautifully to this technique.
I love to paint many different types of artworks, including still life, landscape, naive, portraiture and impressionist abstract.

My paintings are always many layers of paint so it gives depth and texture to the artwork.

I hope you enjoy looking at my art.

There is a lot of love gone into every one of my paintings and I hope that you can feel that.

I meet every week with other artists to paint and exchange ideas and enjoy their company.
