Pots 1.

I have quite a large collection of vases and pots, so I decided to start a series of still lives. This is the first, I put some pansies from the garden in one of the pots which gives it a high note.

I trained at Gloucestershire College of Art and The University of Wales where I obtained my Art Teachers degree. Upon graduation I taught high school for five years in the UK before leaving to have my two sons. In 1972 we came to live in Sydney. I then taught juniors part time for a total of thirty-two years before retiring. After doing the family’s ancestry and writing my memoir, Covid-19 gave me the perfect opportunity to rediscover my love of painting. I take my inspiration from travel and nature and like to paint people, things from nature and still life. My preferred medium is oil and collage.
