Port Melbourne Sunrise

Good Morning Port Melbourne shows the beautiful colours of sunrise over Melbourne city. The reference for this artwork was taken aboard the Spirit of Tasmania as it was docking into Melbourne. The dark cityscape contrasts with the yellow and orange sky, the sand dark as the sun was yet to rise from behind the buildings. The colours in the artwork are taken directly from a photograph using a digital art program, then recreated by hand onto canvas.
