Artwork Description

Approaching Storm

There's something about a storm
That draws the viewer eye.
Is it the unpredictability
Or the drama of the sky?

Whichever way you look at it,
It's exciting to see in motion.
Watching it draw closer,
As it rolls in from the ocean.

The rain is but a cleansing
That passes through the fair.
But when it is all over,
There is a freshness in the air

Artist Bio

I am a traditional landscape artist based in the foothills of the Blue Mountains, NSW.
I began my journey by seeking expert tuition from multiple accomplished artist.
I have developed my own unique style over the years, predominantly applying my oils with a pallet knife and moving it around with knife and brush to create the effect, movement and feeling in my painting that will transport the viewer to that time and place.
Predominantly, a studio painter, I source images from my travels throughout Australia, recreating them in oils and acrylics on canvas. I also love painting en plein air whenever possible.
I have had a number of solo shows and have enjoyed creating commission works plus my work is on show and for sale in several galleries in NSW.
My aim is to bring the beauty of Australia into your homes. With a feeling of piece and serenity
