Artwork Description

Still Waters is painted from my sister's balcony situated overlooking Burrinjuk Dam.

Burrinjuk is a native name, meaning mountain with ragged tops,
It's winding roads and wildlife, its a truly an enchanting spot

A special place in my heart, with many happy times
With smells of barbeque and the sounds of music, game and laghter. Oh! What a find

When the sun comes up it's casting glow, dances across the water,
And the fishermen start out to try there luck with hope to catch there supper

When the sun comes up, till when it goes down the light is ever changing.
Quick get out the brushes, capture this view
And complete a wonderfull painting

Artist Bio

I am a traditional landscape artist based in the foothills of the Blue Mountains, NSW.
I began my journey by seeking expert tuition from multiple accomplished artist.
I have developed my own unique style over the years, predominantly applying my oils with a pallet knife and moving it around with knife and brush to create the effect, movement and feeling in my painting that will transport the viewer to that time and place.
Predominantly, a studio painter, I source images from my travels throughout Australia, recreating them in oils and acrylics on canvas. I also love painting en plein air whenever possible.
I have had a number of solo shows and have enjoyed creating commission works plus my work is on show and for sale in several galleries in NSW.
My aim is to bring the beauty of Australia into your homes. With a feeling of piece and serenity
