Tough Beautiful, Port Augusta

Port Augusta

This harbour is a quite one,
Located on South Australia's coast.
The flinders as a backdrop of which
This spot can boast.

This sun scorched land, an aquired taste.
It does get under your skin.
She holds her breath and hopes for rain,
as the clouds come rolling in.

Tha land is flat, the earth is red,
The shubs are low and rough.
But the dryness of this area,
Is a beauty that is tough.

I am a traditional landscape artist based in the foothills of the Blue Mountains, NSW.
I began my journey by seeking expert tuition from multiple accomplished artist.
I have developed my own unique style over the years, predominantly applying my oils with a pallet knife and moving it around with knife and brush to create the effect, movement and feeling in my painting that will transport the viewer to that time and place.
Predominantly, a studio painter, I source images from my travels throughout Australia, recreating them in oils and acrylics on canvas. I also love painting en plein air whenever possible.
I have had a number of solo shows and have enjoyed creating commission works plus my work is on show and for sale in several galleries in NSW.
My aim is to bring the beauty of Australia into your homes. With a feeling of piece and serenity
